The 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards show taping is taking place at Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami Beach, Florida on October 6th and has announced its air date of Tuesday, October 16th. Drake leads nominations with 11 followed by Cardi B with 10.

Hip hop fans can now get excited and make plans to watch the 2018 BET Hip Hop Awards on Tuesday, October 16th. The show will air on all BET networks at 8:00PM Eastern time.

Drake is dominating the 2018 awards show with 11 nominations including Album of the Year, Lyricist of the Year and MVP of the Year. Cardi B is not far behind with 10 nominations, being neck to neck with Drake for a number of the awards.

Other top nominees include Childish Gambino, Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar. Childish Gambino is totaling 6 nods including Lyricist of the Year and MVP of the Year. His other nominations include Hot Ticket Performer, Best Hip Hop Video and Single of the Year.

Childish Gambino is also in the running for this year’s Impact Track for his song This is America, which garnered Huro Murai his first music video director nomination.

Travis Scott is up for Hot Ticket Performer, Lyricist of the Year, MVP of the Year and the Made You Look Award. Kendrick Lamar’s nominations include Hot Ticket Performer, Hustler of the Year, Lyricist of the Year and Best Hip Hop Video.

Up for the Best New Hip Hop Artist award are newcomers BloBBoy JB, Juice Wrld, Lil Baby, Rich The Kid and XXXTenacion. DJ of the Year nominees include Calvin Harris, DJ Envy, DJ Envy, DJ Khaled and DJ Mustard.
