Birmingham Tech Leader, DataPerk, Continues to Grow
A 15-year-old technology solutions provider located in Birmingham, Alabama, has grown its staff more than 50% in the last two years.

DataPerk, one of Birmingham’s most prominent technology solutions providers, has once again expanded its team, adding an additional full-time web developer along with a part-time web development intern. These additions continue the expansion of the 15-year old company, which has grown its staff more than 50% in the last two years after moving into a fully renovated new office space off of 6th Avenue South.
“As Birmingham continues to grow and evolve, so does DataPerk. We’ve experienced tremendous growth over the last two years, and we couldn’t be happier with our newest team members. Their experience is going benefit our clients tremendously,” said DataPerk’s CEO, Troy Wallwork.
Kholby Lawson, a former IT Support Specialist for Brighthouse Networks, will be working with the rest of the DataPerk web team to create and support beautiful, functional, and innovative websites for DataPerk clients. He received his Bachelors in Computer Science from Jacksonville State, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Computer Systems and Software Design. After hours, Kholby spends time playing disc golf, camping, and enjoying his family.
Vamsi Penmetsa is a Masters student at UAB studying Computer Engineering. Vamsi will be working as an intern in DataPerk’s web department for the remainder of the semester, and will be assisting with the day-to-day programming needs of clients.
