Brio Merchandising Co-Founder To Visit Organic Dryer Balls Factories In Nepal – Committed To Making A Difference

May 04, 2016 – – Brio Merchandising Ltd. has announced that company co-founder Charmeyn Martell will be traveling to Nepal this month to visit their branch factory in Kathmandu. She will also visit the factory found in the rural region of Terai. Brio is a company in Kelowna BC, Canada, that is committed to improving the world through sustainable development and fair trade along with providing quality products to their customers. The two factories produce handmade organic wool dryer balls which offers a safer and healthier alternative to dryer sheets and fabric softeners that contain harmful chemcials along with other benefits such as a reduction in drying time saving customers money in energy costs to name a few. They are sold to customers on Amazon in three marketplaces; USA, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Charmeyn Martell says: “The focus of my visit is to finally meet and connect with our supplier and with the 500 impoverished women who work very hard making our wool dryer balls reminding them their hard work is valued and appreciated. Our product is ‘flying off the shelves’ on the Amazon marketplace and are high demand, therefore, my visit is to also check out quality assurance and production supporting our fast growth.”A few of many hard working women who make our product possible with Brio Co-Founder

An important characteristic that is part of the benefits wool dryer balls and toxins do not go together. These balls do not contain any of the toxins that are generally found in dryer sheets and, as such, are a healthier alternative. Perhaps most important, however, is the fact that Brio is committed to making the world a better place for every person on their supply chain.

The dryer balls offered by Brio Merchandising have been designed to not cause any damage to the environment, they reduce drying time saving enregy costs, naturally soften laundry, eliminate static and wrinkles and most importantly support our happy customers that are health conscious. Additionally, Brio enables impoverished communities to gain financial independence. The women in Nepal who make the balls, and who Martell will soon visit, are able to build better lives for themselves and their families.

Charmeyn Martell explained that Brio works together with their supplier to uphold their mission of promoting Nepalese handmade products, as this encourages the people from the remote Terai region and Himalayan parts of the country to develop their skills and lifestyle. “Some 500 workers, mostly women, are employed in making the dryer balls and the immediate effect of this is that there is more money for healthcare, education, food, clothing and so much more. The social benefits are immeasurable. Through fair trade, these women and their children can look forward to a much brighter future.”

The visit will also be an opportunity for the company to source out various orphanages for future contribution as Brio Merchandising Ltd.’s vision is to help and support children.
