Brokers Choice America Announces June Annuity Awareness Month

Brokers Choice of America is launching a campaign to make June the annual annuity awareness month of the state of Colorado.

Today, Brokers Choice of America, one of the nation’s largest Independently Owned Insurance Brokerages along with the National Association for Fixes Annuities announced they are launching a campaign to make June the annual annuity awareness month for the state of Colorado. Their campaign includes a request to Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper to officially declare June annuity awareness month.

“Annuities provide a safe alternative for individuals who are planning for their retirement” said BCA CEO Tyrone Clark. “We want everyone to know about them and be well educated when it comes to retirement.”

Broker’s Choice of America’s campaign is part of a larger national campaign to promote awareness of Annuities as a retirement option. And Brokers Choice of America has joined the Coalition for Annuity Awareness in calling for it. The Coalition for Annuity Awareness is a nonprofit organization who has as its primary goal the education of consumers on how annuities work.

If approved by the Governor the resolution will quickly ensure that June is recognized as an awareness month for annuities in the state of Colorado. It would be the first such resolution passed in a state.

Tyrone Clark provided further insight to the importance of annuities, “10,000 Americans retire every single day and they need to know that they have a wide arrange of options when it comes to retiring. Annuities can offer growth without the same risk for retirees as some other solutions.”

Tyrone expects the resolution to be confirmed and enacted by Governor Hickenlooper within the next month. “The importance of annuities to a healthy and diversified retirement portfolio cannot be overstated. And I think the Governor will recognize that” he said.
