ST. LOUIS, USA – January 4, 2021 /MarketersMedia/

Today, Brownpreneurs announced the launch of its first-ever, revolutionary, “Brownpreneurs’ Teen Summit,” a free, targeted three-day intensive business skills workshop for students from across the Greater St. Louis area. Participating high-school and college age students will be given an introduction to fundamental business principles, such as sales and marketing, finance, management and organization. This philanthropic initiative is a part of fulfilling Brownpreneurs’ mission as the premiere, non-profit business mentoring organization in the St. Louis community. Registration for the Teen Summit opens on February 1, 2021 at the www.brownpreneurs.org website.

“I started Brownpreneurs to give black students an understanding of the science of business ownership,” said Christal Rogers, Founder of Brownpreneurs. “Our vision is to be the organization that gives these young people information and inspire enthusiasm to work hard and succeed. We will follow their progress and continue to encourage their seeking out opportunities and enhancing skills. We want to help them uncover their hidden self-esteem. Brownpreneurs will enable them see the possibilities of career success based on a solid work ethic. From a socioeconomic perspective, it will be apparent that the process is positioned to empower entrepreneurial possibilities. This aligns with the concept of responsibility and success to develop generational wealth, improving the brown community.”

Brownpreneurs provides entrepreneurial training for African American students living in Greater St. Louis. The organization’s goal is to train and empower students to attain valuable knowledge—working toward being an employer versus expecting to forever be an employee. They believe in the philosophy of beginning and planning a career and employment journey with the mindset of becoming a business leader rather than a follower.

Christal Rogers is a native St. Louisan who has had a successful career in marketing and event planning. Since 2002, she has worked with numerous corporations, nonprofits and individuals to grow their businesses. She has an impeccable reputation and is committed to assisting others to explore their dreams. Rogers earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Missouri St. Louis and a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University. She graduated summa cum laude.

All sessions will be taught by an experienced business educator or industry professional with proven track records in their own fields. The business presentations expose students to various areas of business and entrepreneurship which they have not yet been taught in any forum. The workshop is meant to inspire those living with low expectations to see their potential in careers which would interest them. The careers that will be discussed are life possibilities that this group of students might have never been encouraged to strive for.

Brownpreneurs has tasked their staff with developing the next generation of brown entrepreneurs, one student at a time. Brownpreneurs intends to inspire confidence and energy so that students will seek out more knowledge to reach their goals, and beyond.

The Teen Summit will take place at Innovation Hall behind Barnes Jewish Hospital (BJC) on Forest Park Blvd.
