Ted Marola was originally from Torrington but he moved to LA with his wife in the early 80s after being laid off from a job at a spring manufacturer. After taking over his father’s mold injection business in 1986 and running it until 2000, Ted answered an advertisement in the local paper for a sales position at Northwest Hill Chevrolet Buick GMC. He spent a month training before he was allowed to sell a single car. Once he started to sell, however, Marola’s career truly took off and he proved himself to be a natural talent.

Ted says: “They molded me into a great salesman because they took the time to teach me the right way to do things.” Doing so has clearly paid off, as Ted has been with the Buick GMC dealer near Bristol CT for 18 years and has, in that time, sold cars to thousands of people.
