Build Sustainable Relationships at the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC)-West’s 15th Annual Strategic Procurement Opportunity Conference

This year’s 15th Annual WBEC-West Strategic Procurement Opportunity Conference and Awards Gala promises tremendous WBE2WBE business networking, insightful workshops hosted by industry leaders, a Corporate Matchmaker for targeted business matchmaking opportunities, and much more.

The conference catering to certified WBEs will be held in Indian Wells, California at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa from Monday, September 10, 2018 to Wednesday, September 12, 2018 and features the theme, Mastering the game of procurement, through building sustainable relationships.

“This year our key focus is on empowering our WBEs to build sustainable business connections today that will potentially lead to rewarding procurement opportunities,” stated Dr. Pamela Williamson, President of WBEC-West.

The Corporate Matchmaker is one of the highlights of the 15th Annual WBEC-West Conference this year, and is designed to help connect certified WBENC WBE companies with corporations. The face-to-face meetings at the matchmaker offer the opportunity for WBEs to make an introduction to the corporations and begin developing a relationship. The pre-scheduled meetings are 10 minutes for each Corporate Matchmaker session.

The conference also boasts an incredible panel of key leaders across various industries who will be delivering industry-specific workshops.

“This year’s event will have smaller industry specific symposiums, which will allow WBEs the opportunity to dialog and connect with procurement and supplier diversity professionals in a more meaningful way, while learning about the latest trends and industry specific opportunities within their target markets,” added Dr. Williamson.

By attending this comprehensive two-and-a-half-day event attendees will be able to build sustainable relationships during the symposiums, connection luncheon, matchmaker opportunities, strategic mini-connections and round table meetings with corporate partners, primes, government agencies and fellow WBEs.

The event will be topped off in style with the annual awards dinner on Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
