The company wide protocols allow instructors to keep providing a full range of services to help drivers learn fast and pass confidently.

One of Alberta’s premier driving schools has proudly announced that it now provides a revamped service that is fully compliant with the latest Covid safety regulation. It’s a move that allows the company to protect its students from the virus while still enabling them to gain a comprehensive driving education.

Safe Learning Environments For Safe Drivers

As the fallout of the global pandemic spills over into 2021, Can Drive Driving School has upgraded its Covid safety protocols to satisfy a continued commitment to the safety and wellbeing of students and instructors alike.

All of the company’s instructors have been trained on the latest protocols and equipped with the tools and products needed to maintain safety at all times. The steps include wiping down car surfaces with an alcohol based gel at the beginning and end of each lesson. This includes door handles, window controls, seat adjusters, steering wheel and steering wheel height adjuster, parking brake, gear lever, indicator and wiper stalks, and light controls.

In addition to wiping surfaces, driving instructors now carry antibacterial gels for their hands while wearing PPE masks in the appropriate situations. Can Drive Driving School has also taken proactive steps to remove face-to-face interactions during admin stages. For example, all consultations, bookings, and reschedulings are now completed via telephone or online interactions. Theory classes are now conducted online.

All of those precautionary measures are made without sacrificing the quality of lessons or safety behind the wheel. Can Drive Driving School will continue to deliver its three tiers of service (Basic, Premium, and Brush-Up Lessons) to support students throughout Edmonton and the surrounding areas. From brand new drivers to drivers who are returning to their training following an enforced break during the lockdowns, a safer education is assured.

Where possible, the driving school is also promoting double lessons to cut down on the number of students seen per day. Finally, all instructors are paying close attention to their own health and will not complete their tuitions should symptoms begin to surface while protocols are in place to contact all relevant students if required.
