Central California Solar Lands Major UCLA Contract To Install Smart Grid Demonstration System
June 27, 2015 – – Central California Solar, a business in Tulare, CA, is proud to announce that they have been awarded a contract with UCLA in order to install a smart grid demonstration system. Construction on the project itself will begin in the next few days. Central California Solar hopes that this will encourage more people to consider smart systems for their properties.
“We are so happy to have been awarded the UCLA contract”, says Eric Vasquez from Central California Solar. “It is an opportunity for us to really bring smart energy to the public eye, as well as achieving exactly what we want to do: making the world a greener, cleaner place.”
The smart grid demonstration systems includes the installation of a 100kw solar carport. Additionally, it will have seven electric vehicle charging stations. These have been designed by UCLA’s Smart Grid and Renewable Energy Consortium. Furthermore, there will be a battery back up system as well as an uninterruptible power source. As such, Central California Solar is effectively working together with UCLA to bring something truly amazing to the world.
Central California Solar offers installations to residential, commercial and industrial properties alike. One of their options is the $0 down leasing program, Sungevity Solar Lease. This allows people to harness electricity and power their property without using the grid. They can then immediately start saving money on their electricity bills as well as protecting the environment. The installation for any California Solar product is fully inclusive of all necessary tools and equipment and the installation itself is very professional. In fact, their installation team has won awards for their work.
The UCLA has long been pioneering going green. They have various sustainability capital programs, as well as the Green Event Seal. This is a seal that allows others to be awarded with proof that they are committed to sustainability and going green. Furthermore, the UCLA is open and transparent about how much energy they use and waste each year, and is taking active steps towards reducing this as well. As such, the partnership between UCLA and Central California Solar is like a match made in heaven.
“Working together with the UCLA is incredibly prestigious”, adds Eric Vasquez. “It is an opportunity to not just install our products somewhere, but to actually work together with a client that is just as committed to going green as what we are. Not just that, however, it is an opportunity to influence so many others, as they will all see the installation and the benefits it offers.”
Installation will commence over the next few days and these central valley solar specialists are looking forward to completion and to see the benefits the project will offer not just to UCLA, but to the state as a whole.
