The Chart Westcott Scholarship, founded in 2018, was created to support a college student or high school senior in their journey to make a positive impact in society through entrepreneurship. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding scholar and aspiring entrepreneur who submits a 500-word essay through the Chart Westcott Scholarship website.
Scholarship founder Chart Westcott graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in history. Upon graduating, Chart worked as an analyst at his family office while attending Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During his time at SMU, Chart concentrated on business and tax law, until graduating in 2011. Today, Chart works full time as COO at Ikarian Capital, LLC, a long and short equity biotech focused investment adviser based in Dallas.
“I am passionate about supporting young entrepreneurs looking to make a positive impact through their business ideas. I encourage students to apply for the scholarship to help offset expenses incurred when starting a new business” said Chart.
