Brandon L. Jones Photography, specializing in food, product, people and environmental imagery for advertising and marketing, is thrilled to celebrate a decade of success in the industry. He credits it to an artistic eye, collaborative spirit and sense of humor. But those aren’t the only traits that have gotten him where he is today.

After graduating from the Columbus College of Art & Design, Brandon assisted local photographers, as well as world-famous fine art photographer Joyce Tenneson. Always a fast learner with an independent spirit, Brandon quickly went from hauling others’ equipment to shooting products for a well-known retailer. “I filled my tiny apartment with lights and a massive sweep…Luckily, my roommate didn’t mind climbing over power packs,” Brandon remembers. Once he was promoted to bigger projects, Brandon began renting his first studio. Since then, he’s continued to acquire more space as his client roster and offerings have grown but he’s remained grounded. Brandon explains, “It’s very much a collaborative effort between myself, the client and stylists. Good music and a few jokes don’t hurt either–but we’re only successful when the client is successful.”

At his centrally located Grandview studio, a comfortable sitting area accented with a bright red wall and one-of-a-kind antiques welcomes guests. A huge open space allows for multiple sweeps, custom-made backdrops and just about any shooting surface imaginable. Best of all, Brandon has built in a gorgeous, fully functioning kitchen with all the modern conveniences his food stylists could ever want.

Brandon has celebrated accolades like industry awards and publications, but he believes the highest honor is when clients come back. And they do. In fact, his very first client is still with him today. By being easy going and fun to work with, Brandon has established longtime client and partner relationships that emulate friendships. “His work has always exceeded my expectations,” says Executive Director at WD Partners. “Brandon will go to any length necessary to make sure he gets the best brand-right, business-right solution.”
