Construction Accident Lawyer Offers Condolences To Family Of Worker Killed In Maryland

June 04, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman offered his sympathies recently to the family of a Maryland man who was killed while doing construction work. Moverman added that these incidents are always tragic and that they occur far too frequently to be ignored.

The construction worker was identified this week after he became trapped in a piece of heavy machinery while doing concrete work, Fox 45 News said. Police were dispatched at around 5:20 a.m. to Hanson Concrete Products on Dorsey Road in Jessup, MD. Police found the 32-year-old man unresponsive, trapped inside the equipment. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Agency is currently investigating the accident.

According to the Occupational Health and Safety Administration, there are 2.3 million construction workers in the U.S. at any given time. Frequent injuries for construction workers include broken or fractured bones, spinal injuries, brain injuries and bruises or lacerations. These injuries typically occur as a result of common accidents such as slips, trips and falls, scaffolding accidents and ladder falls.
