Construction Accident Lawyer Wishes Injured Florida Men A Speedy Recovery

June 28, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Thomas Moverman recently stated that after two men were injured in Florida while on a construction site, he wishes them a quick recovery. Moverman added that he hopes construction sites will take this incident as an indication that more needs to be done to ensure the safety of workers.

Two men were injured earlier this month in a construction accident at Florida State University’s Doak Campbell Stadium. The workers had been cutting a piece of metal material when it fell, striking the workers. One of the men suffered from a severe gash to the head while the other was left with an injury to his arm. Both were said to have non-life-threatening injuries, according to WCTV.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) stated that the top three most frequently cited standards for 2015 were fall protection, hazard communication, and scaffolding requirements. Injuries incurred during these accidents usually involve head injuries, spinal injuries, lacerations, and fractured or broken bones. Additionally, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that the leading causes of worker deaths on construction sites in 2014 were falls, followed by electrocution, being struck by an object, and caught-in/between machinery.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus & Moverman have been representing victims of construction accidents for years. They have successfully obtained millions in settlements for those victims and strongly believe in fighting for the compensation victims need and deserve. In one case, Attorney Thomas Moverman won a victim $2.6 million for a worker who injured his knee and back in a fall from defective scaffolding. The firm is currently looking to assist those individuals who have been injured in a construction accident and qualifying individuals may be entitled to financial compensation.
