Consumers Comfort Inc. Helps Homeowners Get Smart Thermostat Rebates

August 30, 2016 – – Various efforts are being made to help people in Ontario become more energy efficient and this includes a $100 gas bill credit, which is something that few people are aware of. Consumers Comfort Inc, a business in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, is trying to raise awareness of this option by encouraging people to install a smart thermostat to reduce energy consumption. More details are available through the company’s website on http://www.consumerscomfort.com.

A customer support representative from Consumers Comfort says: “We all need to be committed to lowering our carbon footprint. That doesn’t mean we have to wash our clothes by hand again or eat dinner by candlelight only, but rather that we have efficient tools and technology in our homes. We are there to help people review the efficiency of their property and improve it, after which they may be eligible for a rebate on their gas bill.”

One of the tools that Consumers Comfort is focusing on in particular is the smart thermostat. This uses sensors and WiFi technology to maximize in-home comfort as well as energy savings. They want to point out that gas utility Enbridge has introduced the new Smart Thermostats Program where those who purchase and install one of the qualifying smart thermostats and apply before December 31, 2016 will receive a $100 credit applied to their gas bill.

Consumers Comfort Inc. offers and installs these smart Wi-Fi thermostats. They explain that the cost of the smart thermostat, including its installation, can be easily recovered because of the energy savings in addition to the Enbridge gas bill credit. The company representative adds: “The device is built upon the digital and scheduling interface options of the programmable and non-programmable thermostat as well as with basal temperature setting with a variety of additional features. Some of these functions comprise remote programming, alerts, learning, geofencing, and improved energy feedback and efficiency. Once you sync up this smart thermostat with a Wi-Fi router, you will have remote access via an app or from your computer.”

Smart thermostats are becoming increasingly popular and for good reason. It leads to a significant lowering of a household’s carbon footprint, while at the same time enabling them to spend less on their energy bills.
