TORRANCE, CA – 27 Oct, 2015 – Convaid Products, Inc., a Torrance-based manufacturer of custom-made, compact-folding, lightweight, adaptive-assisted wheelchairs, today announced it will expand its Ambassador Program to include most of Convaid North American sales regions. Convaid Ambassadors are volunteers who share insights and experiences with the greater Convaid community online, at school functions, at Convaid dealer events, in support groups at Abilities Expo or other special needs gatherings.

Convaid users, dealers and affiliated non-profits are urged to nominate 2016 Ambassadors who will be selected by a Convaid selection committee and announced at the end of the year. Prospective Ambassador families will have a family member who currently uses a Convaid Cruiser, EZ Rider, Rodeo, Trekker, Safari or any older Convaid model.

Convaid Ambassadors typically serve a one-year term during which time they can earn Convaid Accessories for participating in activities such as:

• Attending regional events in their Convaids and talking about it
• Making a special appearance with Convaid at Abilities Expo
• Write blog posts, submit videos, suggest articles
• Participate in clinical studies or other Convaid research
• Share pictorials of the places they visit in their Convaid
• Engage with Convaid’s online community

Alexis Snyder, author of the acclaimed blog on Invisible Disabilities, has served as a Convaid Ambassador throughout 2015, along with her teen-advocate daughter, Sara, who has used Convaid products most of her life. In 2016 this mother/daughter team will continue as Ambassadors Emeritus.

“Being Convaid ambassadors this past year has been a fun and exciting venture. We love to help spread the word about how terrific Convaid products are and what a difference our Convaid has made for Sara. Sara would not be able to get around many of the places we go on a regular basis, let alone adventures with lots of walking while on vacation without her EZ Rider. There is really no other company like Convaid and no other product line that provides so much. We are happy to have been able to give back through this Ambassador Program. Thank you, Convaid, for giving us the opportunity to spread the word about invisible disabilities and so much more. Sara has enjoyed sharing bits and pieces about her life and her journeys and we can truly say, now we are going places,” said Ms. Snyder.

Stacy Warden, whose son Noah, uses a Convaid Rodeo has committed to establishing an independent resource to Convaid families and others, wishing to recycle their Convaids for reuse. She was inspired to establish such a utility when she learned of Andrew Pacheco’s stolen stroller on the Convaid blog.

Ms. Warden said, “As a 2015 Convaid Ambassador we had the pleasure of connecting and reaching out to the special need community, listening to feedback and sharing our experiences and all the places we took our son in his Convaid Trekker. A company that is committed to listening to customer feedback, continued excellence in customer service and expansion of products gives us an exciting preview as we look forward to 2016 as Ambassadors Emeritus. We remain excited to be able to share new products, upcoming ideas and our continuing adventures with the Convaid line.”

Also staying on as Ambassadors Emeritus are the Cech Family and their son, Mighty Matt, a Convaid Cruiser enthusiast, user; and, Trekker Winner Ashley Cervara, and daughter Sammy, will stay on in 2016 as Convaid and special needs advocates.

Ms. Cervara said, “My daughter, Sammy, becoming a 2015 Convaid Ambassador has been and amazing opportunity for us. We have met so many amazing, and helpful people along the way! It has also given us an opportunity to help educate others (especially those in the autism community) who do not know about what a great company Convaid is and what they can offer all of these awesome kids! We hope in 2016 to be able to reach out to many more families and help them make their lives easier more accessible like Convaid did for us. We are so excited to keep on our journey with such a fantastic company and can’t wait to see what the future brings!”

The Convaid Ambassador program was established in 2015 to promote information and resource exchange among the Convaid online and special needs communities.
