Corporate Magician Edd Fairman Launches Show on Magic Secrets

July 23, 2015 – – CHICAGO – Edd Fairman, the corporate speaker, comedian and magician known as “The Wizard of Sorts,” announced today that he has launched a new show, “Behind the Magic,” which reveals magician’s secrets to help corporate audiences learn to think through challenges and resolve issues better. Fairman, who has been performing at corporate events for more than a decade, believes that when workers can be taught to think like stage magicians, they can approach problem-solving more creatively.

“The fascinating thing is that good executives, team leaders and sales people actually do what magicians do – they just aren’t always aware of it,” said Fairman. “I thought, why not train everyone to think like a magician. I work with the audience to teach skills related to making eye contact, telling a story, handling surprises, and a lot more.”

The show is based on the idea that magicians essentially use their own brains against the audience. In the show, Fairman shows audiences how magicians construct magic tricks to fool audiences, how they control the audience’s attention and use social cues to get the audience to think what they want. The audience learns how to create better and more effective answers to common questions and avoid falling victim to old, bad habits.

Fairman is a self-taught magician who believes that audiences can teach themselves, too. Known for clean, friendly, entertaining and business-relevant shows, Fairman performs for companies all across the country, including at conferences, conventions, training seminars and dinners. The Wizard of Sorts can provide a fully customized show that incorporates a company’s values and message into the magic.
