Prior to 1981, the city of Shreveport had no female dentists. Not only did Dr. Marian E Feducia change that, but after only two years removed from dental school, she opened her very own practice which is known today as Shreveport Legacy Family Dentistry.

Her thriving practice has maintained its current location since its humble beginnings in 1983. Perhaps there is no greater testament to success than time. As such, 35 years of uninterrupted care is certainly a milestone to honor.

it was just over 37 years ago that Dr. Feducia graduated from Louisiana State School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana. She then returned home to put her skills to good use serving the dental needs of the community she so loved.

Time doing what time does, she had a daughter Samantha. Samantha grew up in and around the practice but very early insisted that dentistry was not her path. She held this opinion through her years at Centenary College…that is of course until eventually ultimately succumbing to her true calling. Dental school soon followed.

Samantha is now known as Samantha M Gray, DMD, a graduate of Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine located in Arizona. She is celebrating what was a rewarding conclusion to her first year applying her expertise at the family dentistry practice her mother started.

About working with her mother, Dr. Samantha Gray went on to say, “One of my favorite things about working with my mom is getting to treat patients who say that they actually like coming to the dentist because of their positive experiences with her. It’s really gratifying to know that our patients trust us to deliver care that’s both comprehensive and comfortable.”
