County Carpenters announces Post and Beam Barns

To mark its 50th anniversary the company has launched new branding for its barn business.

CT – County Carpenters, Inc., one of the nation’s longest-standing specialists in barns and outbuildings, has announced the new face of its barn business which will now be known as Post and Beam Barns by County Carpenters. This announcement is part of their 50th anniversary calendar of events as well as a launch pad for their barn kits and related products into the next 50 years of the business. 

A New Era for A Family-Owned Business

From humble beginnings in Bolton, Connecticut, Roger Barrett, Sr. established Country Carpenters in 1974 along with his wife Lois, his son Roger, Jr., and a handful of dedicated, skilled craftsman. His desire was to preserve the cultural philosophy and structural integrity that he so admired in our ancestors and the craftsmen of old.

Now half a century later, they’re still proudly crafting period style homes and post-and-beam barns and buildings through the success of their engineered, pre-manufactured building kits. And as they celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2024, they’re forging their way into the future with an effort to better clarify the family of brands their team has provided now for three generations.

They’ve always been Country Carpenters, and as the parent company, that will remain the same. But now they’re proud to present two distinctly unique branches of their family tree, Early New England Homes by Country Carpenters, and Post and Beam Barns by Country Carpenters. At their core things really haven’t changed. They’re still the same family company you’ve come to know and trust, with the same core values and vision. What’s different? From new websites to new catalogs, and even some newly imagined product offerings that still embody that old colonial feel, you’ll find what you’re dreaming of easier than ever before.

Their sights are set on the next 50 years, but they’ll never lose sight of who they’ve always been and all those who helped them get there. They build beautiful country places, and they look forward to continuing to exceed their client’s expectations as they build with them into the future.
