Datuk Seri FD Fateh Iskandar has been recognized as an iconic figure in Malaysia who is highly influential and politically advanced individual. This recognition is, in part, a result of FD Iskandar’s work within the arena of media, specifically Chief Executive Officer, Group Executive Chairman and the Managing Director of Glomac Bhd. From September 2005, he has been appointed as a Chairman of Media Prima Berhad and is also one of the Telekom Malaysia’s primary Directors. He is a media mogul and property tycoon who is also currently the treasurer of UMNO, Selangor.

Iskandar, a native of Malaysia, has been involved with the media world for couple of years, getting great start when Datuk Seri FD Iskandar first served as the Corporate Manager for Kumpulan Perangsang Selangor Berhad (KPS) upon returning home from Australia. He joined Glomac Berhad in 1992 as their General Manager for Business Development after leaving KPS. Datuk Seri FD Iskandar is now the Group Managing Director, the Group Executive Chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of Glomac Berhad which is a main property development company listed on Bursa Malaysia since June 2000. His influence and expertise has made him a very well-known and respected personal amongst his peers locally, and globally. In response to a question on the driving force behind his success, Iskandar has explained how it really boiled down to receiving the title of Datuk Seri. FD Iskandar is invited frequently as a guest speaker in various seminars, forums, and conventions to offer his vies and insights to share his wealth of experiences. He has given talks both locally and globally about Malaysia over the years. He has received several awards such as the “Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award” by Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards, the “Malaysian Business Award in Property” by the Chamber of Commerce, and most recently, he received the “Global Leadership Awards – Masterclass Developer Of The Year” by The Leaders International.

In a recent interview, FD Iskandar reminisced on other past achievements, which helped build his momentum towards the achievement of present day. Notably, one of the proudest moment of his was in 2006, when he was appointed as the Chairman of Axis-Reit Limited and later went on to become the first ever Malay President of the Real Estate & Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (REHDA) of Malaysian Property Incorporated (MPI). REHDA is a partnership between the Government and the Private Sector. The aim of the organisation is to encourage investment in property for foreigners based Malaysia. In addition to that, he was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC).

In the same interview, Iskandar stated his intentions for the future. His primary goal for the next 12 months – to encourage investment in property for foreigners based Malaysia.
