DePaul Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation Adds Uniform Adjusted Financial Data and Analytics to its Courses

The UAFRS-accountingdata will be distributed by Valens Research

CHICAGO, IL / ACCESSWIRE / March 27, 2017 / The DePaul Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation at the Driehaus College of Business is continuing its focus on creating and sharing pioneering practices in accounting, finance, and management leadership. To this end, the center is adding Uniform Adjusted Financial Reporting Standards (UAFRS) to its course offerings in Strategy, Execution, and Valuation.

To learn more about Uniform Adjusted Financial Reporting Standards and how they are aimed at creating more reliable reporting of corporate financial activity, please check out http://www.uafrs.org/ at any time.

As a spokesperson for The DePaul Center for Strategy, Execution and Valuation noted, MBA and executive education courses in the Center will now include “uniform accounting” performance and valuation analytics provided by Valens Research. The SEC, corporate executives, and even members of the FASB and IASB accounting standards boards have spoken out increasingly about the “erosion in the quality of earnings” assets, cash flow reporting, and other significant distortions.

Financial analysis performed with as-reported data typically provides distorted views of company performance and highly erroneous valuation measures, the spokesperson said.

In addition to bolstering the Center’s offerings, Dr. Mark Frigo, current Director of the Center, has been added to the UAFRS Advisory Council. Dr. Frigo provides unique perspectives and advice on the necessary framework for more reliable business and valuation metrics.

“DePaul University, the Driehaus College of Business, and the Center for Strategy, Execution, and Valuation have been at the forefront of practical academic teaching,” Dr. Frigo said.

“We seek to provide the most advanced accounting and financial analysis. UAFRS, Uniform Adjusted Financial Reporting Standards, provide a more reliable, more consistent perspective of company performance that GAAP and IFRS standards simply do not.”

Valens Research is a globally-recognized leader in financial analysis under UAFRS, and through its database, DePaul SEV students will now have case studies and in-course access in the following:

Global corporate performance and equity valuation analytics of almost 5,000 companies around the world, allowing for detailed and illustrative trend analysis.
Comparable metrics between companies, not only within similar industries, but across the entire scope of public firms, allowing for greater analysis.
Economically accurate metrics, which highlight more reliable and comparable operating cash flows and operating assets of a firm, free of distortions of inconsistent as-reported accounting and financial reporting.
Full-text research reports based on corporate credit ratings, corporate equity valuations, and macroeconomic signals driven by UAFRS-based analytics and cross-capital research that synthesizes equity and credit research.
