Dock Blocks, the leading retailer in docking systems, has unveiled a host of new decking features for its platform design that’s ideal for fishing, entertaining and lounging.

When Dock Blocks, known for their patented connecting system and high stability level of floating docks first announced it would release a new swim platform design that would include flip-up ladder features and decking options, customers positively responded to the news.

It began in the summer of 2014 when a customer installed a twin-PWC Doc Blocs drive-on lift to his floating dock in Hilton Head Plantation in Hilton Head, S.C. He loved being able to move blocks around, reconfiguring them in case he ever obtained a larger PWC or boat. One year later, the same customer contacted Dock Blocks of North America to modify his existing system to accommodate a 17 ft. Boston whaler, as well as his PWCs. The customer, upon going back to the drawing board, was able to rearrange the Dock Blocks and added three more rows of blocs to convert his system into the ultimate multi-water drive-on platform.

Dock Blocks’ decking feature includes an anti-slip texture to prevent falls when water is present on the surface. The light color of the decking stays cool during the summer heat. Besides the unique decking feature, multiple flip-up swim ladders have been placed on both sides of the platform for easy climbing in and out of the water.

The Lake in the Clouds facility in Canadensis, Penn. is another happy customer of Dock Blocks, buying Dock Blocks platform to enhance the looks of their lakeside facilities. The 81-block, 14.4 ft. X 14.4 ft. system features two swim ladders, which make for an easy in-and-out experience, especially for the children.

Lake in the Clouds Vice President Mike Foran said there have been no reported splinters, thanks to the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) thermoplastic material, which is stronger than standard polyethylene. Foran said, “Everything is working great. Everyone loves the new Dock Blocks.

With the scenic Pocono Mountains providing a gorgeous backdrop, Dock Blocks has provided people with a safe, enjoyable system for years to come at the Lake in the Clouds community.
