In a Recent Interivew, Rossiter Also Discussed where and how the Beautiful Yoga Clothes are Made

As Rossiter told the interviewer, as a busy mom, yoga student and teacher, she pretty much lives in her yoga clothes.

“When I started Satya Yogawear in 2009, I was basically producing clothes for myself and friends and it has grown organically from there to wholesale, a little boutique in Bali and online store,” she said, adding that she has always been drawn to simple and classic designs that are ideal for movement practices.

In addition, Rossiter said, her experiences as a yoga student have taught her the value of the word “Satya,” which is the Sanskrit word for “truth.”

“The value of ‘Satya’ has always been resonant with my mission, which is to focus on the essential and base my business on integrity and consistency.”

Even though Satya Yoga Wear has grown over the past 7-plus years, Rossiter said the clothing is still made in a small family-run facility in Ubud, Bali. While most orders are shipped from Bali, some of the newer items are shipped from Los Angeles, California where the company also has an office.

When asked what the term “Live Your Truth” means to her, Rossiter said it all begins with following one’s intuition.

“After more than a decade working in Marketing, I woke up one morning with a deep sense that I had to quit my job,” Rossiter said, adding that although she had no idea where or what was next, she knew in her heart that things had to change.

“The only thing in my life that made me truly happy was my yoga practice and that was the only thing that I took with me. That was the day I began trusting my intuition and from there I followed my heart to India, South East Asia and on to Bali, where I still live today with my 3 year old daughter, my husband and our cat, Tiga.”

Moving to Bali and opening her own company has truly been a voyage of self-discovery filled with its shares of ups and downs. Through it all, Rossiter said, she strives every day to listen, to let go and be guided by her heart.

“I believe that life is like a river – we can we cling to the sides and try to swim upstream, or we can live in the flow. Ultimately, we are all headed to the same place.”
