Bloomington IN – August 22, 2016 /MarketersMedia/ —
A new website offers descriptions, illustrations, and ideas for a large selection of projects designed for students and teachers. The Science Fair projects are free-of-charge and easy follow. They are available for various age groups, including elementary school, middle school, and high school. Each of the projects comes with complete instructions, illustrations, and diagrams. The site is easy to use with layers of content to avoid spending excessive time in hunting for a project that appeals.
The general categories include biology, chemistry, physics, math, the human body, and technology. In the descriptions of the projects, a fairly standard pattern of presentation is followed. The descriptions include a purpose of the project, materials required, findings and further questions or research which the project raised. In some instances, the user is directed to an outside website for instructions and diagrams. There is no cost to access the materials on the website or for additional instructions.
Because many of the projects are very simple in nature, they can be completed by elementary school-age children. More advanced projects can be used for up to high school age youngsters. When appropriate, family members can be involved in the completion of the project. The website allows teachers to make suggestions so that the decision about which project is completed is made by the student, reflecting a real interest in finding out the information regarding the project.
In many instances, the materials required to complete the project are household or easily obtained items, so the cost doesn’t become prohibitive for any individual. The student can choose a project such as creating a musical harmonica, using only glasses and water. Growing mold is another project, which requires only a cotton swab, slice of bread and a warm location. Each project is intended to help the participant learn more about the world through observation and understanding.
