The books were written with the aim in mind to inspire women, mothers, and seniors of all ages to achieve the improbable. She has been a military wife for 30 years and a Gold Star Mother for over 40 Years. She has received a Doctorate of Humane Letters (DHL) and serves as a resource person for Interdenominational Women’s Ministries. She is also a volunteer anthologist for military families.

When asked about why she wrote the books, Hines said: “This multi-book event is dedicated to the announcement of the coming new musical play entitled “The Life and Death of a Dream” about the Korean Conflict in 1969 dedicated to American Gold Star Mothers, Inc.”

Hines hopes that the book will to enlighten America to the current, historic and growing significance of the Korean Conflict Americans are still facing today and the sacrifice that has already been made by so many Americans in the past. This positive outlook from the author is certainly a testament to her optimism considering some of the mishaps during its creation. As a result of the current Korean crisis, Dr. Hines decided to republish these books together in celebration of her coming play and to inspire readers of every age to take action because America needs them to be strong and be knowledgeable about America’s history with Korea.
