Dr. Nico Does It Again

September 12, 2016 – – Five years ago, Dr. Nicolas Porter vowed to turn the dental industry upside down. With Risas Dental and Braces, most would agree he did just that.

This past Labor Day, five years to the day the first Risas office opened, Dr. Porter launched a new company that promises to disrupt a new industry.

“Trunited will change the way we buy and sell things,” says Dr. Porter, or as he is affectionately referred to by Risas employees and patients, Dr. Nico.

Trunited is a platform for Dr. Nico’s newest innovation, Socialized Commerce. All products bought and sold on the platform are provided by vendors who agree to contribute a large portion of the proceeds from each sale into a profit pool. At the end of each month, one hundred percent of that money is paid out to the Network of individuals who participated in the commerce on Trunited.

Individuals are given a percentage of the pool based on a combination of their purchasing power and their social influence from connecting others to the Network. This is all distributed based on an algorithm in the Pay Plan 360, Trunited’s pay structure that Dr. Nico personally created to ensure people in the Network are paid from all directions, and not just in a top-down fashion.

If Trunited’s policies seem different from previous companies in the commerce industry, it’s because Dr. Nico designed them that way. He grew Risas into a financial and critical success by bucking trends; focusing on an underserved Hispanic market, keeping all offices open evenings and weekends, and offering much lower prices with the reasoning that more patients would say “yes” to business.

Socialized Commerce is focused on many of the same areas; providing consumable products for lower prices so consumers say “yes” more often than with competitors, free marketing materials to all members, and no entry fees or minimums on purchases.

Just like with Risas and dentistry, Dr. Nico wants to make the Trunited platform accessible to anyone and everyone.
