An 18-year-old Louisiana teen, Jessica Byrnes’ entire life changed when she and her boyfriend, Jared, made a routine stop at a local gas station. While Jared went inside to pay for the gas, a group of men began making sexually suggestive comments toward Jessica. When Jared returned and told the men to leave her alone, they attacked him. He was eventually able to break free and get back inside the car, at which point one of the men threw a brass pipe through the open passenger door window, hitting Jessica directly in the face and knocking out eight of her teeth.

She suffered missing teeth, fractured teeth, exposed nerves, spasms of her facial muscles, and contusion of her TMJs.
