E-Cigarette Explosion Leaves Minnesota Man Burned And Traumatized, Potential E-Cig Explosion Lawsuit To Follow

June 20, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Marc Freund commented on a recent development in Minnesota where a local man was severely burned from an e-cigarette explosion. Attorney Freund noted that typical injuries that occur as a result of e-cig explosions and resulting fires include severe burns, cuts, and in some cases impaired vision or severed limbs. Freund is gracious to local first responders for rushing to the scene to take care of the injured man and hopes that the man is able to make a full recovery in the coming weeks.

As reported by a local news outlet Willmarradio.com, a local man suffered serious burns on June 3rd, 2016 when his e-cigarette exploded while in his pocket. Shortly after, a local ambulance transported the man to Rice Memorial Hospital, where he was placed in a specialty unit that is best equipped to treat his burn injuries. The incident occurred at the man’s apartment on Southwest 5th Street, and local authorities state that the man was afflicted with severe burns to both his legs and hands.

TheProductLawyers.com have created an updated timeline of all e-cigarette explosions that have occurred since the devices hit the market in 2007. Their data indicates that there have been 199 e-cigarette explosions since 2009. This staggering statistic holds greater weight when individuals look at the incidents that have occurred since 2015 to present which totals 124 in less than a year and a half. The number of incidents has also risen every year since 2009, for example, there have already been 30 more incidents in 2016 than there were in 2015, and it’s only June.
