Electronic Retailing Association Honors R&R Partners and the Animal Foundation with Special Award at Annual Moxie Awards Gala

Recognition Goes To R&R’s Fun ‘In-FUR-Mercial’ Marketing Campaign for Raising Pet Protection Awareness

WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / August 13, 2015 / Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) (www.retailing.org) will honor top marketing communications agency R&R Partners and its client The Animal Foundation with a special Moxie Award, citing their collaboration on the viral hit ‘In-FUR-Mercial’ pet adoption public awareness campaign. The special award will be given to R&R Partners and The Animal Foundation as part of ERA’s 2015 Moxie Award Gala ceremony taking place Thursday, October 8 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. The major event of the annual ERA D2C Convention, the Moxie Awards Gala recognizes the best in television, radio, online and mobile direct response marketing for the year.

R&R Partners – well known for its iconic ‘What happens here, stays here’ national campaign – produced the pro-bono ‘In-FUR-Mercial’ campaign on behalf of The Animal Foundation following an agency-wide brainstorming session. The result is a nod to the classic infomercial format with a fun twist. The clearly tongue-in-cheek campaign features pets as though they are products – with each product delivering a range of exceptionally handy benefits to have around the house, like a reliable early-morning-cat alarm clock, or your own personal trainer – in the guise of a dog that demands you take him on walks.

Utilizing short form TV spots, radio, outdoor, print ads, social media assets for Facebook and Instagram, as well as web banners and an In-Fur-Mercial-themed landing page for The Animal Foundation’s website, the campaign targets pet lovers by giving them plenty of fun, beneficial excuses to adopt a furry new friend from the Animal Foundation.

“When R&R Partners’ ‘In-FUR-Mercial’ campaign came to our attention, we all felt it needed to be recognized by our industry!” said Julie Coons, President and Chief Executive Officer of Electronic Retailing Association. “We are pleased that R&R decided to adopt our industry’s classic infomercial format to deliver the important message of adoption for The Animal Foundation, and we look forward to saluting their achievement at this year’s Moxie Awards Gala.”
