EnergyMDT Awarded Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention IDIQ Contract

The Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Board of Education awarded EnergyMDT Corporation and team the IDIQ contract for Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention for a potential five (5) year period of performance.

The Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) Board of Education has awarded EnergyMDT Corporation (EnergyMDT) and team the contract for Suicide Prevention, Intervention and Postvention. The new multi-vendor IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) carries a potential 5-year period of performance. “Our team is very excited to partner with BCPS for the ‘NOW WE CAN Save our Children!’ BSW School Project. Working with the students, staff, community of BCPS is a privilege that we take seriously,” said Ximena Velasquez, CEO and general manager of the BSW School Program at EnergyMDT. “Our mission is to provide the up to date neurokinesis training that will significantly reduce the everyday stress that students, teachers and staff face going to school while also worrying about school shootings. Studies show that stressors like these, as well as other forms of trauma, too often lead to suicide and homicide events.

The Brain Stimulated Wellness (BSW) Neurokinesis Intervention System is a precise combination of 6 (six) proprietary techniques that have been studied and reviewed by medical doctors as efficiently acting on the brain to eliminate stress, anxiety, depression and symptoms of trauma, such as PTSD. These techniques quickly work to dramatically reduce the negative impact of being exposed to trauma inducing situations such as: natural disasters, physical injuries, accidents, war, violence, terrorism, rape, assault, and social issues such as bullying in person and online.

BSW Programs included in the contract are as follows: BSW Suicide/Homicide Prevention, BSW Employee Family Support Program, BSW HomeGrown Heroes/Global Citizen, BSW Sexual Assault Assistance, BSW Powerful Parenting, BSW Witness Preparation and BSW Intervention Coaching Sessions and more. These comprise the BSW School Project so that ‘NOW WE CAN Save our Children!’

One program to pay special attention to is the BSW HomeGrown Heroes/Global Citizen. It is a Mentorship Program for training high school students to mentor younger students in a paid apprenticeship. Students start by earning $20 per hour with the potential to increase to $100 per hour by the time they graduate with the option to continue as a BSW Intervention Coach after graduation. This mentorship program ensures younger and older students alike learn to be self-reliant and graduate with marketable skills.

The BSW Neurokinesis Intervention Techniques are significantly unique in that the strategy has been carefully designed to get successful results without requiring the client to disclose any description of their problems, nor any diagnosis, nor any personal details. These positive results are achieved without requiring the use of medications or therapy and also without interfering with current medications.

Because the program sees the household as the “client”, the benefits and implications of this fact extend into every aspect of a community affected by Suicide/Homicide.

Furthermore, according to Ms. Velasquez, the program will take advantage of Social Enterprise; thus, addressing social issues by maximizing the community’s involvement. The EnergyMDT Team is busy recruiting and training coaches and trainers for the BSW School Project.
