The article features images and a video of the scene between Silicon Valley CEO, Gavin Belson and Denpok, his spiritual advisor while Denpok is wearing the Babylon 5 jacket originally worn by the character Vir.
The article discusses the creator of the multi-colored thigh-length coat worn in Seasons 2 and 3 in the hit show – Babylon 5 and which original Babylon 5 character originally wore it.
The epic sci-fi series Babylon 5, created by J. Michael Straczynski was a unique experiment in the history of television. Often referred to as a futuristic space opera, it chronicled five years in the live of those aboard the 5-mile-long space station. Set against a political backdrop of bitter enemies, the Centauri and the Narn, it was effectively a novel for television in five seasons, consisting of 110 episodes with a clear beginning, middle, and end.
According to the article this is not the first time an HBO series has raided the Babylon 5 universe for unique garments. The full article can be read here: http://www.epictimes.com/06/22/2016/silicon-valley-23rd-century-fashion/.
