The chapel, located on the outskirts of Oxted in Surrey, was decommissioned by the local parish in 2010.

In June 2014, Robert Leech’s Oxted branch took on the sale of the chapel, marketing it as a ‘fixer-upper’ – a gem of a building, albeit one which required a little restoration work. The chapel generated considerable interest from potential purchasers before it was sold to a local small developer.

The developer subsequently carried out a thorough, sensitive renovation, restoring the building’s period features and converting it into a stunning three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.

Robert Leech was then called on to handle the new sale of the converted chapel, which sold in November 2017.

The former chapel has been transformed by the developers, who created a contemporary, homely interior space. The property sits centrally within its plot, surrounded by Staffhurst Wood. Despite its idyllically rural setting, it is only a six-minute drive from Hurst Green Station, which offers fast rail links into London in under 40 minutes.
