Everbooked Launches to Eight Major U.S. Metro Areas, Allowing Airbnb Hosts to Price like Hotels Do

Oakland, California, USA – March 11, 2015 — Everbooked, an automated pricing service for Airbnb hosts, launches to eight major U.S. cities today. Airbnb hosts can increase their income as much as 20 to 40% by using the same methods that hotels do, namely; by automatically adjusting prices based on changing patterns of local demand. More demand means raising prices, and lower demand means lowering prices.
“Everbooked monitors data from multiple sources and runs these data through a proprietary pricing engin to generate pricing recommendations. Pricing recommendations are then written to the host’s Airbnb calendar daily” said Jason Ware, Senior Engineer, Everbooked.
“Currently, pricing decisions are often based on guess work or manually scanning lots of data sources. It can can be stressful for hosts, so most (~95%) set 10 or fewer prices regardless of time of year, major events and other demand factors. This means bookings and income are being left on the table,” said Amy Langill, Data Scientist at Everbooked. “Hotels, on the other hand, set dozens of prices throughout the year using sophisticated enterprise software,” added Langill.

During the initial development phase, Airbnb hosts repeatedly told Everbooked they were not sure how to price their space and were looking for something to do the job for them.
