A new children’s engineering book has launched called Exploring Careers with Kids: ABCs of Civil Engineering, which is part of a series helping to improve childhood interest in science, technology, engineering and math. Because of the decrease in enrollment and graduation of engineers, there is concern in the industry and nation related to failing infrastructure and innovation in the sciences. There is a growing need to help children choose professions that will help improve the standard of living and keep the nation on the leading edge of science and technology. The book is the first in a series aimed at kindling early interest.
