Hollywood, CA, USA – January 30, 2017 /MarketersMedia/ —
Recently coming off of her role as ‘Diane Simmons’ on the hit show ‘Family Guy’,actress Lori Alan has officially joined the season 2 cast of the breakout TV series ‘Back Stabber’. Known mostly for her lead voiceover work as characters like Pearl The Whale in ‘SpongeBob’, Dianne Simmons in ‘Family Guy’, Bonnies Mom in Pixar’s ‘Toy Story’ movies, Wall-E and more, the actress has now joined the cast of ‘Back Stabber’ as Brianna; The mother of lead character Jenna.
Virtually unknown prior to its season 1 release in June, ‘Back Stabber’ instantly became a smash hit TV show, and has now broken multiple records in Hollywood. Creator and Executive Producer of the series, 27-year-old Ryan Zamo, premiered the first season with a final budget of $1750. Though Zamo says season 2 of ‘Back Stabber’ will not have a much bigger budget, the popularity of the show has been drawing in heavy hitters from Hollywood. Lori Alan herself was up against a tough A-list roster for the role, including stars like Cameron Diaz and Kristin Chenoweth, but Zamo said, “It’s not always about who is a bigger star. Lori was the only one who really got the character, Brianna is a complex role and it takes in-depth acting techniques to fully understand her, the other actresses were great but Lori was the best.”
Though there is no exact release date for season 2 of ‘Back Stabber’ yet, it is slated to premiere this fall on Amazon.
