It all started because of COVID-19. Stephany Cabreja, together with her mother founded Mask And Hook intending to provide face mask holders to store masks in a clean, accessible, and organized way. Facing the necessity of face masks, the mother-daughter tandem recognized that people always misplaced their masks and sometimes placed them in unsanitary spots.
Mask & Hook meets the needs for every given situation such as in restaurants, in cars, workplaces, and even at home. Realizing that there’s nowhere clean to safely store face masks at all these places and anywhere, they came up with the solution of designing self-adhesive hooks. Mask & Hook are also designed to store keys, keychains, lanyards, leashes, hats, ties, and many more.
Although many considered Stephany to be successful in founding Mask & Hook, she admitted that it has never been a smooth road and there were lots of struggles along the way. One of the struggles she mentioned is about brand awareness since many people are not yet familiar with the new product. However, Stephany managed to start a second business named StemaFit, which is designed to provide health supplements for the immune system.
“My mother and I are co-founders of Mask & Hook. We designed the hangers and opened this online business together,” says Stephany. “We also started a second business named StemaFit, which is a health supplement to boosts our immune system,” she adds.
Stephany grew as an athlete and fiercely independent. Her mother, as a single hardworking woman taught her to be independent in life. Her childhood experiences have helped her to push herself beyond limits until she succeeded. She loved doing everything with passion and commitment whether it is related to sports or goals in life.
“My mother is my motivation, she has always found a way to take care of my family and I appreciate and admire that,” Stephany says when asked about her motivation in life. “She has given us everything and one day, I would like to do the same for her.”
