Famous Japanese Restaurant Chain Announces First Texas Unit Opening 2016

Irving’s new entertainment megaplex, The Music Factory, recently broke ground, and continues to announce a lineup of dynamic and interesting tenants. Kabuki, a Japanese restaurant chain will open their new joint at the complex in mid-2016.

Earlier on this year, city of Irving in Texas saw the launch of a new entertainment venue; The Music Factory. The list of confirmed tenants only seems to be growing even more dynamic. Now, Kabuki, which is a Japanese Restaurant, has also confirmed that they will open a new establishment at The Music Factory in 2016. The establishment will occupy 6000 sq. ft. and will line up more than 200 different dishes ranging from Japanese cuisine to some contemporary dishes. Diners will get to enjoy these foods while listening to the latest and trendiest music.

Currently, Kabuki Restaurant prides itself in having 17 other establishments in the states of Nevada, Arizona as well as California and this new establishment at The Music Factory will be its first in the state of Texas. According to Hannah Grabe who is the marketing manager at Kabuki, the restaurants entry into Texas has long been the dream of Kabuki’s CEO.

Masa Kurihara is Kabuki’s chief corporate chef and it is he who is in charge of designing the restaurant’s menu. The menu comprises a wide range of Japanese delicacies including sushi and sashimi, numerous vegetarian dishes, exotic seafood delicacies like the Chilean Sea Bass and even gluten-free dishes. Kurihara who also trains younger Kabuki cooks is an alumnus of the famed Tokyo Culinary School. He has also worked as a cook for Japans ambassador to the U.S.

Hannah Grabe notes that while Kabuki is an ideal dining location for the family, everyone, including those looking to enjoy a refreshing glass of sake bomb. There are only two Master Sake Sommeliers in North America and Yuji Matsumoto was the first of them. He is also Kabuki’s Beverage Manager. Among other things, he overlooks the preparation of Kabuki’s beverage menu. Most of the drinks on the menu are sake based. The menu (both in the restaurant and in the sake bar) will include Mint Sakerita and TY KU Coco which are renowned Kabuki drink specialties.

The establishment is slated for official opening in mid 2016. This is when The Music Factory is also projected to be officially opened. But Kabuki is not the only dining option that will be at The Music Factory in Irving. One of the other dining options, Glorias Latin Cuisine, went down as the first restaurant tenant at The Music Factory. Glorias is famous for its South American dishes and has 12 other establishments.

The Music Factory borders the Irving Convention Center, lies to the north of O’Connor and is flanked by both the Las Colinas Boulevard and the U.S Highway 114. The Music Factory is accessible from anywhere in Irving through the through the DART Orange Line. The project, which costs a whopping $165 million also includes a Live Nation concert venue that has a seating capacity of up to 8, 000 people. Those who are crazy about movies, have the Alfamo Drafthouse Cinema which features 8 screens. The Music Factory will also include 100, 000 sq. ft. specially set aside to accommodate offices. Additionally, the megaplex also plans to build a 50, 000 sq. ft. outdoor plaza that will be used to host large events like fashion shows and various festivals.
