First Aid Shoppe Introduces Six Ounce Spray Version Of 8-Hour Personal Insect Spray Repellent
April 20, 2016 – – Today First Aid Shoppe introduced a six ounce continuous spray version of their Natrapel personal insect repellent with an 8 hour estimated time of protection. The spray uses a DEET-free repellent called Picaridin which acts to repel most biting insects. The Natrapel line is now one of the insect repellent offerings by First Aid Shoppe and is available through them in a variety of options. First Aid Shoppe is a provider of top tier first and survival gear and packs, and now carried the Natrapel line of personal insect repellents.
“This is one of the most popular options in the Natrapel line,” says COO of First Aid Shoppe, Anna Loehwing. “Now we’re offering it along with our other options for application. This is a continuous spray in a six ounce can that’s very easy to spray on. Once applied it gives over eight hours of protection.”
According to Ms. Loehwing the Natrapel formula is safe on gear and will not melt jackets, fishing line or other synthetic materials. The CDC recommended 20% Picaridin formula is the only formula that consistently shows equal or better performance than DEET in independent, clinical tests, and it provides 8+ hours of protection from biting insects and ticks.
“It’s safe on gear,” says Ms. Loehwing. “Which is important for our biggest audience, and that’s people who are spending time outdoors. This could keep you safe from bites, and some of those bites can carry some pretty nasty diseases, like the new Zika virus.”
The Natrapel spray is part of the Natrapel line of personal insect repellents now available through First Aid Shoppe. Each pack comes with 12 wipes, and each wipe applies a repellent formula that lasts over 8 hours.
