First Aid Shoppe Reports Schools Are Stocking Their Trauma Kit For Serious Emergencies

March 31, 2016 – – Today Anna Loehwing, COO of First Aid Shoppe, providers of high-end first aid and survival gear to professionals and the general public, reported that K thru 12 schools are buying their ResQue 1st Emergency Trauma Kit to have on hand in the event of a serious bleeding emergency. The trauma kit features an Advanced Clotting Sponge, which uses an advanced hemostatic (clotting) agent to stop quickly bleeding at the wound. It does this by stimulating the body’s natural clotting function. The purpose of the clotting sponge is to stabilize a serious bleeding injury until more professional help can be sought.

Additional items are included with the sponge to help with a bleeding emergency, including a pair of antiseptic gloves, antiseptic wipes, gauze, medial tape and bandaging. The idea is that with the contents of this kit a serious bleeding emergency can be handled until help can arrive.
