Florida Humanitarian Volunteer Recognition Ceremony To Be Held In Fort Harrison

November 25, 2019 – – Clearwater, Florida based United for Human Rights Florida (UHRF) is delighted to announce that they will soon host their first annual United for Human Rights Florida Volunteer Recognition Ceremony. This volunteer awards banquet will also set the stage for the official announcement of the organization’s newly elected President.

The Volunteer Recognition Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, the 23rd of November, 2019 from 5:30 pm – 10 pm EST, and it will be held in the Grand Auditorium of the Fort Harrison Hotel. The event’s organizers state that it is primarily a private occasion, but limited seating is available for members of the public who wish to attend. Interested parties are encouraged to contact United for Human Rights Florida as soon as possible to learn more.

The organization is staffed by people who strongly believe in its mission to ensure human rights for all. While the major highlight of the event will no doubt be the unveiling of the organization’s President, who will lead them in their efforts to ensure the equal proliferation of human rights for everyone in Florida and beyond, United for Human Rights Florida is set to make their teams of volunteers the stars of the show during the awards ceremony.

United for Human Rights Florida representative Cristian Vargas states, “Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and everything we have achieved is a direct result of their willingness to donate their precious time to us. The countless hours they have dedicated to this cause are a testament to their belief in its virtues as well as their unwavering faith that our goals are ultimately achievable.” Vargas reminds the public that they may make use of the event’s limited seat availability to attend as well, and the organization welcomes all those who would like to commemorate the outstanding work done by their volunteers alongside like-minded individuals. United for Human Rights (UHR) was founded on the 10th of December, 2008, the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). They are a globally active non profit that strive to implement the UDHR at the local, regional, national, and international stage. As the organization says on their website, their purpose is to, “provide human rights educational resources and activities that inform, assist and unite individuals, educators, organizations and governmental bodies in the dissemination and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights at every level of society.”

In practice, UHR’s teams of volunteers strive to share educational materials that inform marginalized individuals and communities of the rights they are due, and they organize activities that serve to encourage a stronger sense of kinship between various groups. While humanity may inhabit an extraordinarily wide and diverse spectrum of beliefs, cultures, ideologies, and so on, every human being is born free and equal in dignity and rights—and UHR seeks to impart this message in everything they do.

As the organization notes, “The fact is, most people can’t name more than a handful of the 30 human rights we all share. Yet these same rights guarantee our safety, our security, and our very lives.” Those interested in learning more, or in joining the organization as volunteers and educators, may visit UHR’s official website to access their freely available educational materials on the subject. The website also facilitates those who wish to join a local team of human rights advocates, wherever they live. Here, UHR adds, “United for Human Rights and Youth for Human Rights chapters are active the world over, educating people on their human rights. You can take an active role to forward the cause of human rights in your community or professional area.”
