Following E-Cigarette Explosion In Missouri Man’s Pocket, Plausible E-Cig Explosion Lawsuit Cases Arise

June 28, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s Marc Freund recently commented on a development in Missouri, where a local man’s e-cigarette exploded in his pocket, afflicting him with severe burns to his inner thigh, and groin. Freund notes that as e-cigarettes continue to grow in popularity, the number of explosions has also increased significantly. Attorney Freund wishes the Missouri man a speedy and complete recovery and encourages the man to seek legal justice for his damages.

As reported by NewsPressNow.com, a Fox news outlet, a local man was severely burned when his e-cig exploded in his pocket while he was at work. 20 to 30 of his co-workers witnessed the explosion and claimed that the explosion was louder than most firecrackers. When asked about the incident, the victim stated, “My pocket started getting real hot, and then all of a sudden it started making a hissing sound and smoke started coming out and then flames started coming out,” which emphasizes how fast these incidents develop and can injure e-cig consumers.

Shortly after the April 30th Missouri e-cigarette explosion, in May, there were 3 more e-cigarette explosions in Missouri. Moreover, out of the 5 e-cigarette explosions since 2009, 4 of them have occurred in the last 3 months, leaving local users wary of the safety of e-cigs. To date there have been 199 reported e-cigarette explosions, as reported through a detailed timeline created by TheProductLawyers.com. 77 such explosions have already taken place in 2016, which is nearly as many incidents as the combined total of reported e-cigarette explosions in 2015 (47) and 2014 (38).

Attorney Marc Freund, a partner at Lipsig, Shapey, Manus, & Moverman is currently offering his legal support and advice to all victims and is prepared to help each victim explore their complete legal options during a complimentary legal consultation. Freund notes that all victims deserve extensive support during their time of need, and while some victims may be entitled to financial compensation.
