Following Injuries To Nashville Man, Construction Accident Lawyer Presses For Increase In Safety Regulations

June 06, 2016 – – LipsigLawyers.com’s attorney Thomas Moverman has applauded the efforts of local law enforcement in response to an emergency following a construction accident in a residential development in Murfreesboro on May 25th. Attorney Moverman also wishes the victim a quick and painless recovery and hopes that the worker will be able to return to work at some point in the near future.

According to WKRN.com, the construction accident occurred at a new townhome development located just off of South Rutherford Boulevard. One of the victim’s co-workers recounted his memory of the incident which outlined the victim being struck by a heavy beam that was being lifted by a forklift. After the beam crashed into the victim, the individual fell from the 2nd story of the home that they were doing work on. Emergency responders arrived quickly on the scene to transport the victim to the nearest hospital where he is currently being treated.

As reported by the National Council For Occupational Safety and Health (COSH), there are several steps that Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) can take to improve working conditions and furthermore decrease worker fatalities. Federal OSHA should more carefully monitor their state departments, they should also provide public access to fatality data so that individuals can become more aware of the risks that they take when they accept a set job. There have been over 1000 deaths due to occupational injury in both 2013, and 2014 and this alarming statistic will continue to grow if no action is taken.

Attorneys at Lipsig, Shapey, Manus, & Moverman are offering all individuals free legal consultations so that victims and their families are granted the ability to completely evaluate their legal rights. Attorney Moverman has verbalized his belief in the pursuit of further regulations and safety precautions for construction workers. The firm has had success in similar cases, in one case they fought for a victim who suffered brain trauma, back injuries and a fractured pelvis due to a scaffolding fall and helped secure the victim compensation of 1.75 million dollars.
