Founder and Director of Strength U, No.1 Best-Selling Author and former Director of Strength & Conditioning for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes (2007-2011), JC Moreau has nearly 20 years of experience as a Division I coach and athlete, including 10 years of experience as a Head Coach. Kevonte Martin-Manley, Co-Founder, Two Star Apparel, was an All-Big Ten WR for the Iowa Hawkeyes, and member of the University of Iowa Football team from 2011-2014. During his time at Iowa Martin-Manley rose from a modest recruit into one of the Big Ten and nation’s top pass catchers his Senior season, and is currently ranked 3rd in All-Time receiving yards at the University of Iowa. Kevonte’s rise to fame was the result of his tremendous work ethic, passion for the game, resilience and toughness. He arrived on campus as a two-star prospect from Michigan, where he was overlooked by most major college football programs because of his modest stature, standing just 5’10”, but quickly worked his way up the depth chart and won over his coaches with his sure hands, dependable route running and consistent work ethic.
It is these traits that led to the birth of the Two Start Clothing line in 2014, when Martin-Manley and then Hawkeye LB Anthony Hitchens (also a Two Star prospect) decided to create a line of clothing that would represent anyone, from any walk of life, who knew what it was like to be the underdog, had been passed over or who aspired to be great and was writing their story each and every day through hard work, sweat and determination. Two Star is a symbol of persistence, confidence and future success by those who choose to embrace the grind in their pursuit to “earn the fifth!” (the 5th star awarded to the nation’s top prospects) It was this philosophy that attracted Strength U and that Coach Moreau wanted to learn more about. “When I first read about the Two Star brand I knew it was something we wanted to be a part of.
