FIFI Showcases Quality Food Products at AAHAR2016

NEW DELHI – The Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI),  represents 147 importers, 20 embassies and buying power of 2.7 billion US$. FIFI intends to boost the marketing, distribution and retail of imported foods and beverages in India through multiple vehicles. Alongside media visibility through national and foreign publications, Forum of Indian Food Importers (FIFI), as one of the co-associates of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), will occupy 2156 square meter space with three country partners and 105 companies.

Leading Indian importing companies will showcase 1400 international brands from over 40 countries under one roof.  FIFI would also be initiating and engaging in workshops and training programs across India and in overseas markets. High quality Gourmet food and agricultural products from all across the world will be on display at the FIFI Pavilion at the 31st Annual Edition of AAHAR 2016 in New Delhi, March 15-19, 2016.

The Canadian High Commissioner H.E. Nadir Patel along with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Poland Ms. Eva Lech and Ambassador of Poland Tomasz Lucaszuk, inaugurated the FIFI pavilion in Hall No. 18U, Pragati Maidan on March 15, 2016.

In a goodwill message, Mr. Amit Lohani, Founder Director, FIFI welcomed visitors to the FIFI pavilion and said that they have extended invitations to more than 15000 organized and unorganized retailer in North India and are expecting interest from retailers, hotels, restaurants, service providers, and consumers.

He also said that he is pleased to note that this is the largest FIFI pavilion at AAHAR so far and is glad to see the growing trends in the industry, which clearly indicates growing interest in food category and change in consumers shopping behavior. FIFI is pleased to have United States of America, Canada, and Norway as country partners and are hoping to have increased interest from more partner countries in future.
