Fund-A-Need Committed To Feeding The Elderly This Holiday With Safeway Giftcards

Our goal is to raise $2,500 and apply those funds toward Safeway Grocery Store Giftcards and hand them out on New Year’s Eve to needy seniors in San Mateo County.

Fund A Need announced today they would focus their end of the year fundraiser around helping feed needy and under-served seniors and elderly in the Bay Area this Holiday.

Sema Tosun, founder of the registered 501c3 non-profit organization, Fund A Need, says “there are too many struggling seniors that are homeless or needy that could desperately use our help this holiday season. We hope you are in a giving mood and appreciate that growing old is a gift and support our cause to feed even more seniors as we close out 2016. Over 25% of our seniors live below the poverty level in San Mateo County. That’s staggering especially when considering we live in one of the most wealthiest and richest areas in the nation.”

Fund A Need’s goal is to raise $2,500 and use those donations to purchase Safeway Giftcards and freely distribute them to dozens of elderly in San Mateo County the first week of the New Year 2017. With considerable and continued local support from local Bay Area city officials and law enforcement, Fund A Need touches the hearts and helps many seniors in the community who need a helping hand. They work in collaboration with other agencies and non-profits to serve the needs and provide individual support to help seniors with necessities like rent, food, repairs, cleaning, bills, hygiene, transportation, medication, kindess, care, education, time, and much more.
