Furious Promotions Announces A Comic Con-Inspired Car Show Titled Car-Con 2015

August 25, 2015 – – The stage is set for the latest car show to hit the Tucson, AZ area, as Furious Promotions’ co-promoter Eric Briggs presents CAR-CON 2015, to be held at the Tucson Expo Center from September 26 to September 27, 2015.

Briggs, together with his team of pop culture/car enthusiasts, has lined up an event that draws inspiration from Comic-Con. He explains in detail: “We are not competing, with, say a San Diego Comic-Con, we’re starting a new comic book, pop culture, car show type of event. Every member of the family, no matter their age, will find something at CAR-CON 2015 that they can enjoy. The stars of our auto show are ready to blow everyone’s minds away!” Briggs stated.

CAR-CON 2015 is a two-day event that will bring together cars and comic books under one roof. An auto show complete with an exhibit of custom vehicles will be in full display. Participants of the event can expect to see an array of classic and antique cars, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, tuners, lowriders, and other cool rides. In addition, pop culture enthusiasts would appreciate CAR-CON’s “Star Cars,” consisting of KITT from “Knight Rider,” a Bullitt Mustang replica, and the General Lee, among many other iconic cars.

Star Wars fans can delight in the event’s “Star Wars Experience.” One highlight of CAR-CON 2015 is the special appearance of the beloved 501st Legion plus a variety of Star Wars cosplayers who are endorsed by none other than George Lucas himself.

The event will take place at the Tucson Expo Center, located at 3750 E. Irvington Rd. The event would open its doors at exactly 10AM and would run until 8PM on Saturday, September 26. Doors open at 10AM and close at 6PM on Sunday, September 27. Interested parties who wish to register may visit http://tucsoncarcon.com. Registration details and prices are also listed on the event’s website. Further information can be found on http://facebook.com/tucsoncarcon. Proceeds from the event will go to Tucson’s charitable institutions, including Casa De Los Ninos, Boys and Girls Club of Tucson, and the Southern Arizona Community Food Bank.
