Gelling the Game Designed for Teams Announces Official Launch

“Gelling” Is a Computer Game That Was Designed For Teams to Learn Teamwork and Communication through a Fun and Engaging Platform

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / March 24, 2016 / Gelling The Game Designed for Teams is a new multi-player computer game that gives participants challenges that must be overcome with teamwork and communication.

Gelling (pronounced “jelling”) was designed by Leonor Urena, who is the owner of Agile Literacy, and who specializes in teaching teams how to work together.

According to Leonor, teamwork is essential is today’s fast paced business environments, where cohesive communication and support is critical for job success.

“Games and play are used as a method of learning and developing skills,” says Leonor. “It is a tried and tested method, and one that is used in most schools today. However, it doesn’t need to be limited to adolescents and it can be just as beneficial for adults to learn and hone new skills.”

The game is made up of 5 levels that require players to work together to complete different tasks. Time limits keep the pressure on as each player must perform in unison with their teammates. Game environments include an office, a jungle, and objectives include stacking square boulders to access a gold chest, or freeing trapped members to complete a cohesive goal.

“There is no mystery to the benefits of effective teamwork: whether in the boardroom, on a playing field,or in a development environment, a strong, well-organized team will consistently outperform a dysfunctional team,” says Leonor.

As an experienced teacher, Leonor knows that the best way to teach is to entertain, so she designed the game with the primary objective of generating smiles. Her philosophy is simple; when students are having fun, the lessons will come on their own accord.

To help offset some of the costs incurred through creating and developing the game; Leonor has taken Gelling to Kickstarter, and is currently seeking donations from supporters and funders.
