GSA Equipment is celebrating their 1 year anniversary at their new location 50 31st St SW, Barberton, Ohio, 44203. GSA is having a open house April 13, 14 and 15 with free food and a grand prize of a like new Husqvarna lawn tractor. They had 4 years of learning and growing while at their Massillon location. This is a huge milestone for the Barberton, Ohio based Lawn Mower and Equipment Sales and Service business, which has focused on zero turn lawn mowers and riding lawn mowers in the commercial and residential market since 2012.

“GSA Equipment got it’s start in 2012 when Adam and his wife looked at the market and realized that there was not a low-priced leader in the used mower space. Most dealerships have high overhead costs, which are then passed on to the consumer, in the form of overpriced mowers,” Nichols said. The couple started GSA Equipment to help homeowners and commercial lawn specialists get quality used equipment at prices you cannot find anywhere else..

One of the earliest challenges GSA Equipment faced was finding a great location to expose our lawn equipment to as many people as possible. When GSA Equipment moved to their new Barberton location they brought on new mower lines: SCAG Power Equipment, Snapper Mowers, Big Dog Mowers to supplement their already huge stockpile of quality used zero turn mowers. This year they added Simplicity Mowers and EGO cordless power equipment.

While every business of course faces challenges, some, like GSA Equipment are fortunate enough to enjoy real successes, wins and victories too. Once such victory came when already having a large customer base for used commercial and home zero turn mowers they have grown much faster than expected at their new location while adding in new lawn mower lines and equipment to supplement the huge stock of used inventory. Customers are traveling from Columbus, Cleveland, Medina, Wadsworth and Pittsburgh to see their large selection of zero turn mowers. They delivery within a 75 mile radius and further for an additional mileage charge.

GSA have hired additional employees to help with the increase in demand. Tim Smith is the General Manager who brings years of experience in all lines they carry as well as John Deere equipment. Peter Miller lead lawn mower Service Technician who is certified with Kohler, Kawasaki and Briggs & Stratton engines. Barry Whetstone another experienced addition to the staff is charge of sales and delivery.
