HDS International Announces Pilot to Beta Test Mobile Technology that Connects International Emergency Calls
ST. LOUIS, MO / ACCESSWIRE / March 18, 2015 / HDS International Corp. (PINKSHEETS:HDSI), a technology development company, today announced that it is deploying a pilot to beta test mobile technology that connects international emergency calls worldwide. The technology is a component of industry-leading solutions that enhance existing emergency communications by, among other things, providing location services for mobile emergency calls as well as letting emergency managers know what is happening and communicate with people in their communities in real-time.
The technology, under license from SirenGPS and called SirenGPS Mobile, is a free download that serves as the distribution point for the proprietary emergency management platform. Paul Rauner, the Company’s CEO explains: “SirenGPS Mobile positions us to evolve the $2B mass notification market onto an emergency management platform that enables connected communities.” In addition to providing unparalleled message delivery for mass alerts and enabling enhanced location services for our enterprise clients, SirenGPS Mobile includes a one touch “panic button” for calling emergency services. Previously tested in Peru, Mexico and in the British Virgin Islands, the technology is currently being tested in pilot programs in Santiago, Chile and Berlin, Germany. We expect to complete testing and release the international version of SirenGPS Mobile by the end of March. With the additional functionality added to SirenGPS Mobile, the app will detect the country the phone is located in, update the “panic button” with the appropriate emergency numbers, and connect users with emergency services anywhere in the world.
Rauner explained the new update: “International emergency calling serves an immediate need worldwide and is a tool we plan to make available everywhere for free. There is a significant market for international calling capabilities into which we seek to deploy our tools, serving companies with operations in more than one country. This functionality also further enhances our emergency management toolset, providing the global emergency management visibility that multinational corporations need to keep their people safe.”
