Health Insurance Agency Based In Palos Heights Launches Social Security Division

United Insurance Services, a Health Insurance Agency based in Palos Heights, Illinois since 1993, has launched a new Social Security division aimed at educating the public and providing solid answers to the most pressing Social Security questions.

Since 1993, United Insurance Services, an Independent Authorized Exclusive General Agent for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, has focused on helping people in the retirement marketplace get the coverage they need to protect and preserve the life they’ve built. About 8 years ago, UIS began holding Medicare Supplement seminars to educate those in the market, or soon to be in the market, for Medicare Supplement products. At this time the Medicare eligibility age was 65 along with the full retirement age for Social Security. But since then things have changed and one of those things includes the Social Security full retirement age; it is no longer 65. In fact, it is 66, or 66 and two months, or 66 and four months, and so on. Since Social Security was already confusing enough, UIS saw a need to help cut through the confusion and provide assistance in this ever changing market.

To solve this problem, UIS began inviting a Certified Social Security Advisor to their Medicare Supplement seminars, to answer Social Security related questions. It was incredibly successful and helped many people get the answers they needed. However, as time went on, it became more and more difficult to coordinate their seminars with Certified Social Security Advisors. Because they did not want anyone leaving their seminars dissatisfied due to the absence of a Social Security Representative, especially those that specifically attended to have their Social Security questions answered, they decided to create a National Social Security Advisor division.

Their NSSA division is made up of Certified Advisors that can answer Social Security questions and discuss the various options a person may have when it comes to their Social Security needs. In September of 2017, UIS kicked off the first of their Social Security seminars, where their Certified Social Security Advisors, Danielle Farrow and Kevin Brown were in attendance to provide the personalized service that United Insurance Services is so widely know for.
