MARIN, CA / ACCESSWIRE / September 25, 2015 / Brian Arellanes, founder and CEO of ITSource Technology – a technology and management consulting firm providing solutions in project development and cyber security – has just been named to the 2016 HITEC 100 Awards List.

Brian Arellanes

This prestigious list, which is announced every year by the Hispanic IT Executive Council, features the top 100 most influential and notable Hispanic Professionals in the Information Technology Industry.

“I’m delighted to have been given this prestigious award 2 years in a row,” says Arellanes. “It’s truly an honor to be included in such a talented community of tech innovators and leaders.”

Arellanes leads a highly respected cyber security firm that works with high-profile companies and major government agencies to secure their environments. Post-9/11, Arellanes consulted for the Department of Homeland Security, where he was responsible for hiring and training of security professionals on complex explosives detection technologies.

“Unfortunately, disparaging Hispanics has almost become a sport during national elections,” he adds. “It’s my hope that we can show the world that Hispanics play a critical role in securing our country and its economy from cyberattacks.”

Prior to that, he worked for two start-ups bringing both to award-winning status. Early in his career, he also worked at Aerotek, a multi-billion dollar professional services company.

The HITEC 100 Awards Gala will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2015 at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley in Palo Alto, CA. Each awardee in attendance will be recognized from the stage and receive their HITEC 100 award in front of an audience of technology professionals.
